Air
Take a deep breath. Exhale. By absorbing and filtering harmful pollutants from the atmosphere and replacing them with clean oxygen, trees literally make it possible to enjoy the fresh air.
One Tree Planted shares our mission of attainable growth through realistic actions, and just as The Better Farm Co. believes in making small, meaningful changes, One Tree Planted understands that every tiny sapling has a role to play in encouraging sustainability on a global scale.
Sustainability springs from balance, and our own rural lifestyle has led us to a deep appreciation for the organic harmony of our environment. In addition to helping our customers on their own journey to sustainability, TBFC wanted to work with an organization dedicated to maintaining this natural balance through the promotion of new growth.
One Tree Planted ensures that the trees they plant are not only beautiful, but are carefully selected to support and complement the existing ecosystem. One Tree Planted works tirelessly to reforest sensitive areas in North and Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Australia, and, by carefully selecting tree species that will thrive in each region, this inspiring organization is literally changing the face of the planet one tree at a time.
Through this initiative TBFC will donate a portion of the proceeds from every sale to One Tree Planted, which means that your purchase will directly help us create a greener, healthier world.
Join us in making one small change - you’ll be amazed at how far it can grow.
In searching for the best way to make an impact, we decided to go back to our roots.
Planting a tree is the purest form of giving back. To plant a tree is to make a statement: I am dedicated to making our world a greener, healthier, and safer place to live; both for myself and for future generations.
When we looked at everything they’ve given us, our choice became clear:
Take a deep breath. Exhale. By absorbing and filtering harmful pollutants from the atmosphere and replacing them with clean oxygen, trees literally make it possible to enjoy the fresh air.
Trees keep the Earth in place. Tree roots help to reduce erosion by absorbing and dispersing ground water, protecting us from potential landslides and flooding. The water that is absorbed is then filtered and returned to the environment, completing the water cycle.
Everything is connected. Take in the flora and fauna that thrives in wooded areas. For birds, animals, and insects, trees provide a rich source of food and shelter. For fungi, moss, and plants, trees offer protection and nourishment, as well as a reliable source of moisture.
Stretching back to the origin of our species, trees have been there, providing us with food security, abundant natural resources, and stable employment. Through conservation efforts and responsible management, we can continue to give back what we’ve consumed.
If you’ve ever taken a walk in the woods, you’ll know the effect trees can have on your spirit, but trees can also make a huge difference to your mental and physical health. A brisk stroll through an oxygen-rich setting can help lower your blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve your overall health. Trees are also natural sound dampeners so, even if you’re near a road or densely populated area, trees will help you shut out the noise of everyday life so you can concentrate on your own wellness.
This goes without saying - trees breathe in Carbon Dioxide and other pollutants, and reward us with freshly oxygenated clean air, which in turn helps to balance and regulate our climate.
